Since March 2009, the 218 metres high office and administration building of Intesa Sanpaolo has been being built in the city centre of Turin. The headquarters of the largest Italian financial institution will be a financial tower with 39 storeys. Along with the offices for 3,000 employees, the architect also designed roof-top gardens, as well as technological solutions reducing the energy consumption by a third.
800 tons of Coupler screwed connections from Frank were installed in the building. By means of the product combination Coupler, Stabox®, Stremaform®, the high requirements regarding force transmission in the construction joints are met. Due to the variation with the different Stabox® formwork stripping elements, the elements can be designed as interlocked joints both in transverse and in thrust direction. When the joint elements are delivered to the construction site they have been prefabricated in an installation-friendly manner ex factory.
